ACCESS STATEMENT
Introduction
We aim to cater for and welcome all visitors to our bed and breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will always try to help.
Pre-Arrival
- Limited bus service but a request stop is at the nearby Cross Keys pub
- Nearest railway station is Taunton, 15 minutes away by car.
- Taxis can be hired.
- We have a basic website.
- You can contact us via phone or email.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
- On arrival, there is a tarmac level drive with paved block car park, cars can drive right to the front door. No marked parking bays.
- We can help all guests with luggage if needed.
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
- On entry into our home there is a large open hallway.
- There is seating provided in the hall.
- The floor is Victorian tiled.
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors, etc.
- From the hall there are 20 stairs which is carpeted, each step being 16x23cms.
- The landing, leading to the 4 bedrooms, is approx. 112cm going down to 84cm at its narrowest.
- Breakfast is served in the breakfast room, which is off the hall at the bottom of the stairs. Door width is 86cms. This room has a rug on original floor boards
- There is just the one large table, at a height of 74cms, with 4 central legs.
- Chairs can be moved to accommodate.
Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas
- The non-ensuite bedroom has door width of 86cm. There is a double bed with bedside cupboards beside. There is a double wardrobe and a set of drawers. The bed height is 86
- Bathroom door width is 83cms. There is a large shower with a step up to it. The large roll top bath is free standing.
- The 1st en-suite bedroom has a king-sized pocket sprung bed at a height of 63cm, there is a single bed also which has a 3ft divan, the narrowest space between bed and wall is 53cm.
- There is a double wardrobe and a chest of draws a bed room sitting chair
- The ensuite shower is wide with a step up to it which is 26cm high, there is a grab rail outside of the shower
- Short piled carpet on the floor throughout. The total room size is
- The 2nd Ensuite Bedroom has door width of 86cm
- King size bed four posted bed with foot board and a pocket sprung mattress it is 70cm high and 180cm wide
- Next to the bed are bedside cupboards. There are also two double wardrobes dressing table and stool and a bedroom chair. Alongside the bedside cupboard one side is a 3ft divan bed.
- .The teas and coffee facilities are on a high sideboard.
- Fitted short pile carpet on bedroom floor.
- Ensuite shower room is tiled with standard height basin and standard toilet height. The shower door is 64cm wide and has a step up to it which is 25cm high
Drawing room
There are three comfy sofas and coffee table .There is also standard and wall lights along with a grand piano. The room is carpeted
Additional Information
- Exit from the front door.
- No smoking throughout the entire house.
- No dogs or any other animal
- We will try to be helpful with any request.
